Jersey Shore!

We couldn't resist getting away to the shore on the hottest weekend of the year (so far). Asbury Park seemed just the right mix of crazy hot, gay party people and old-fashioned fun on the boardwalk.
A view from the beach
Ocean Grove beach tents.

Adrian's first haircut

Adrian's hair was becoming unmanageable. The tangles in the back were causing him and Erin a lot of pain, and the curls were getting out of control. We tried to get him used to the idea of a haircut weeks before, watching daddy get his (long overdue) haircut. And daddy again got his hair cut right before these photos were taken (some might say that daddy's hair was just getting to a reasonable length, but whatever . . . ).

Our new local barber shop seems to be run by two nice Russian ladies. Funny for an Italian neighborhood.

"hair tickles"

"You're taking too much off the top!!"

"Bus!!" (Adrian loves buses. . .and taxis . . .and cars . . .and trucks)

Our little hooligan.

I think this was almost immediately followed by a trip to the soda fountain and a giant Sundae (that mom ate most of).

Santa Land Confessions

No Christmas is complete without a Holly Jolly visit to Santa Land at Macy's on 34th St.
There were so many great pictures, but none that showed off his great hand-knit pants like this one . . .
Adrian asked for Elmo for Christmas. And we don't even have a TV!

(Fake) Pumpkin Patch and (Fake) Farm!

The Queens County Farm Museum is neither a museum nor a farm. It is a combination petting zoo and place to buy overpriced produce. We did not pay 3 dollars to feed farm animals, nor did we buy an overpriced pumpkin or pay to decorate it. We did however take two trains and a bus totaling almost two hours in transit time each way to take these pictures. Enjoy!

"Yes, I'm in a box of pumpkins. Very funny."
"Are you really going to post pictures of me with a runny nose? You are? Oh."
"Sir! How much is this one? 15 Dollars? Are you high??!!??"
Leading us down the (fake) garden path.

Our little cowboy.

Idaho Trip and Camping

Whee! We're almost literally off the red-eye from Portland. Erin and Adrian are asleep, I should be. I'm just too darn excited to share some of these photos of our good times in the Gem State.

"I can't believe we're here!"
Jet-lagged trip to the playground near Nana's house.

"Pizza! Pizza!" Adrian teaches Sam about the Brooklyn way to eat pizza.

Pinball wizards Ben, Max and Tyler calm the beast within while waiting for the Triple Pie challenge!
